The Broad Activities Undertaken by T & P Department are:
Preparation of Placement Brochure for final placement
Pre-placement visits (PPV) to the companies
Communication, networking and relationship building with the potential recruiters.
Invitation to potential recruiters to visit the Institute
Continuation of placement activities after the stipulated period, till all the students are placed
Grooming and training of the candidates for the placements so that their chance of selection increase
General follow-up, joining formalities and other administrative activities
Getting industrial training and industry linked project work for students.
Getting guest Lectures conducted thru our important Corporate contacts
Helping Faculties for arranging Industrial Visits thru our important corporate contacts
JOB MELA organized at ITMVU:
JOB MELA organized at ITM Vocational University Campus dated 31st Jan,2018 (Wed) 33 Companies participated in JOB MELA from different sectors including INFOSYS , KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK, RELIANCE & other leading firms.
Total 450 students participated in JOB MELA & 300 were shortlisted for Second Round of interview.
ITMVU under the aegis of ITM GROUP [MUMBAI,Estb. 1991] is working constantly and putting all round efforts to transform students into Efficient Professionals & connect them to Corporates for a Successful Career.
Placement Process:
Once an organization shows interest in recruitment from the Institute, the students are asked to register their interest for the job. An email informing about the job opening and its details will be shared with the respective HODs. T & P department will try to get as much details as possible about the job profile. It is not compulsory. Only students who register for that particular job profile will be considered for the job opening and their names and CVs will be shared with the company. It will be responsibility of a student to keep his/her resumes updated with T & P department. Once the names of students are submitted, student is not allowed to withdraw from the selection process.
Sometimes companies come for Pre-Placement Talk / Group Discussion / Written Test and the short-listed students are interviewed at the campus or off the campus. Alternately, some companies select students based on their CVs and may invite them for Group Discussions/Interviews at their offices.
Placement Empowerment Program (PEP)
Concept: Empowerment is the Process of making Individual stronger and confident by seeking skills, Resources, Authority and Opportunity. Placement Empowerment means imparting skills to students enhancing their employability skills to market themselves to corporate and giving them the opportunity by becoming medium in interacting with industry. This enable students accountable in framing career of their choice through process of grooming.
Why?: Whether there is a recession or not today it is the survival of the fittest. Whatever we learn during our graduation it is insufficient in handling the corporate world. An individual is ought to be street smart and not just smart only. In such a situation it is very difficult for an individual to keep track with the industry requirements. Grooming not only makes them aware, but also makes them ready for the same.
